Today is Abraham Lincoln’s 200th birthday. While considering his life, presidency and legacy, I pulled a couple of books from my bookshelf that I think are worth recommending. If you’ve read either of these or can recommend others, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

The thirteen stories told by Adam Braver are sometimes heartbreaking, often inspiring and all moving.
For a complete biography of Lincoln’s life, you can’t go wrong with this book by David Herbert Donald.
